Since opening last year (I think), Chill skybar has become one of Saigon's hottest nightspots. Perched on top of the A & B Tower at the corner of Le Lai and Cach Mang Thang Tam, Chill is spread out over two floors and features a restaurant and two bars: one inside, and one on an open-air terrace. Many consider the view to be the best of the city's collection of rooftop bars, and I'm inclined to agree. The 270-degree panorama is mighty impressive, and the building's location away from the downtown core means you get a full-frontal shot of the growing skyline.
Chill was designed by an international company that specializes in rooftop bars, and this shows. The design and service quality are western-caliber, and as a result so are drink prices. This is one of the most expensive places to imbibe in town, though there is a half-price happy hour from 5:30-7:30. It also has one of the strictest door policies in the city, and the clientele can be fairly snooty, but that's not a big deal if you're only there for an hour or two. Chill is certainly not somewhere I'll be going with any kind of regularity, but it would be a great place to take visitors, or someone you really want to impress.
