Louisiana Food Porn

So far my trip home, which ends on Thursday, has been a fairly steady stream of outstanding food. Surely I've gained a few pounds as I've gorged in an area renowned for its excellent cuisine. Here are a few of the highlights. Warning: if you are hungry do not proceed.
grilled fish I made at home
Fried quail stuffed with Boudin sausage and topped with blueberry glaze on a bed of Andouille cornbread stuffing at the Abita Brew Pub in Abita Springs.
Fried fish with sauce and pasta with a side of creamy spinach at Russel's Marina Grill  in West End.
pecan pie at Russel's
corned beef with cheese at Stein's Deli on Magazine St.
Chicken and sausage gumbo at The Cabin in Burnside, LA an hour outside of New Orleans
jambalaya and black-eyed peas at The Cabin
buttermilk pie, a Cabin specialty
Christmas dinner - mac & cheese, glazed yams, stuffing, green bean casserole, and turducken - a chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey
roast beef & swiss at Maspero's on Decatur in the French Quarter
sweet potato & duck hash on a cornbread waffle with pepper jelly at Elizabeth's in the Bywater
Burp.
