The Cave Trek

A week and a half ago I trekked into Hang En, the third-largest cave in the world. Located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, in central Vietnam, the cave was a remarkable place. This overnight trek (which included camping on a 'beach' inside the cave) was easily the best hike I've done in the country, and I hope to return to explore more of the park's caves. Son Doong, the world's largest, is also in the area, but room on treks is extremely limited and the five-day expedition costs about $3,000 - well out of my price range. I've included a few pictures from the adventure below, and check out my recap of the trek for Saigoneer here.

I bought a new camera before the trip and am learning how to use Lightroom so if you notice an upgrade in picture quality, that's why.

You can check out some of my other recent writing work below:

  1. nếu bạn thích đi du lịch, thì bạn không thể làm mà không có Insector. Đây là cách chữa trị tốt nhất cho muỗi và côn trùng.

  2. Just by looking at your photos I can already say how big the cave is. How long did it take you to get there anyways?

  3. Good blog!
